Since 2004 in ElsagDatamat

Free lance, on many parallel projects, as software designer/developer and system designer/developer.

Worked on internal and customer projects in defense and postal area to design and develop high available and secure systems and software.

Software written in C, C++, Perl and SQL on Linux

High available systems realized with Unix (Linux and Solaris) and Windows, using clusters (Microsoft and Veritas), Virtual machines (VMware), and firewalls (Check Point Firewall1, Linux, Microsoft ISA).

Some of more important projects are:

• In 2009 worked in a team for airport baggage systems, projecting and realizing a live Linux system for a real time board (using Debian live).

• In 2008 worked to realize the virtualization of a complex high available system using VMware Virtual Infrastructure 3.5.

• In 2007 worked in a team to project and develop an hybrid postal system.

  Design and development of the web data input and a centralized log system, using C++ and Perl on Linux.

• From 2007 till now worked to project and realize a virtual system with more then 100 virtual machines, for many internal projects, using VMware Virtual Infrastructure 3.5 and EMC SAN.

• In 2005-2006 worked to project and develop a TCP/IP protocol sniffer, using Linux (Debian), C++, libpcap, libpthread.

• In 2004-2005 worked in a team to project and develop a multimedia database, designing, developing and integrating software.

  Software written in C++ and SOAP, Bourne shell, Perl on Linux (Red Hat).

  Design and development of SOAP web services, integration libraries, centralized log server, web management software, centralized monitoring system (with Nagios).

From 1993 to 2004 in TXT

Free lance, on many projects, as software designer/developer and system manager.

Worked for many TXT customer projects in bank and industrial area to design and realize software and to manage complex Mission & Business Critical production systems.

Some of more important projects are:

• In 1999 and between 2002 and 2004 worked for SIA SSB and Actalis managing and testing complex Mission & Business Critical production systems.

• On 2001 worked all the year in Boston for Instrumentation Laboratory on the project of a new blood analysis instrument.

  Real-time embedded software written in C++ on VxWorks using Tornado.

  Design and development of the network connection between different component of the system on different CPU using TCP/IP on Ethernet, CAN bus and RS232.

  Design and development of a scheduler to schedule the moves of the blood inside the instrument.

• In 1998 worked for Instrumentation Laboratory in Italy to maintain a graphic library written in C++ on VxWorks using Tornado.

• In 1998 worked for CESI to port on Linux a real-time embedded software written in C++ to move a robot to monitor dangerous locations.

• In 1996 and later worked for STMicroelectronics to project a new software language for hardware analysis and to project and realize its compiler using C++ on OS/2.

• Many C, C++, Unix and Linux courses for many customers at different levels.

• Unix System and Network Administrator for many other TXT customers (ENEL, CISE, Enter, Pharmatec, Parvis, Schering-Plough, CedBorsa, SIA, BravoSolution, etc.), with installation and configuration of routers, Firewalls, VPN, servers and workstations, project and development of web services.
